“Antaño mío is a choreography inspired by the greats Rosario and Antonio, specifically, in the pas de deux that they performed at the Hollywood Canteen in 1944. A duo that captures the aesthetics and transfers to the present the movements so characteristic of that pas a two accompanied by the playing of castanets and the Cordovan hat, with an introduction of cinematographic aesthetics in which the dancer converses with her skirt, inspired by Rosario’s singular skirt with a thousand layers.”.
